About YogaMeg.UK
My yoga journey started in 2002 when myself and a friend decided to take a class at a local leisure centre. I continued with the weekly class, which soon became two weekly classes when I realised what a positive impact it had on my emotional well-being. My interest piqued, I enrolled on a British Wheel of Yoga foundation course which led to my 500 hr yoga teacher training certificate.
Over the years, I've had the privilege to learn from a variety of teachers and styles, and find real joy incorporating these into my own practice and teaching. I believe that yoga is for everyone, and teach in a way that reflects this - giving everyone space to practice at their own pace and ability. My flexible approach allows me to mix and match aspects of different styles that I think will work with my students.
My teaching incorporates asana, pranayama, meditation and relaxation, and are time for self-discovery where I encourage students to observe, learn and adapt their own yoga practice. My 4-hour workshops provide the time and space to explore the practice of yoga more deeply, as do my weekend retreats where we have the chance to try out different themes and styles in a relaxed countryside setting. I've continued my own exploration of yoga and have recently trained with RocketBeatsLondon to enable me to teach this fully immersive Rocket-style yoga - check out my yoga workshop page for more detail.
I look forward to sharing my journey with you. Namaste.
